Frequently Asked Questions

Program

What are the requirements to have the KBLN program at our church?

KingdomBusiness Leaders Network is committed to operating under the authority of the local church and with the approval of the church's senior pastor and leadership.

Our program was created by business leaders for business leaders and is most successful when it is overseen by a mature Christian businessperson. This person can be a former businessperson who now serves on the church staff or a non-staff church member, but he or she must have a strong business background and be willing to commit up to 20 hours per month to oversee the program.

Please click here for more details on the requirements.

The Kingdom Business Leaders Network program is not currently available for churches with a weekend attendance of less than one thousand.

What does the KBLN implementation process look like for a Partner Church?

Once you have been approved, you will be assigned an implementation manager to guide you through the complete process, access to an online Kingdom Business Leaders Network Handbook, and web access to the members-only area.

How long does it take to implement the KBLN program?

It typically takes about six months from the launch of the program to start groups, which is the main thrust of the program, but it can be as little as three months. We also offer a "BETA group" option that can begin almost immediately.

Membership

Who can be a member of the KBLN program at my church?

Our heart is to serve Christian business leaders, to help them implement best practices in their businesses, and become better disciples of Jesus Christ.

Candidates for the program are business owners and corporate leaders.

A business owner is defined as someone who owns a majority interest in the business they lead and is operating in that role full-time.

A corporate leader is defined as someone who is a President, a C-Level Executive of a private or public corporation that has more than 100 employees, or a Vice President that oversees at least 50 employees.

Our program is not currently intended for:

·      Non-profit leaders

·      First-time start-up companies less than a year old

·      Direct sales agents

·      Network marketers

·      Manufacturing sales representatives

·      Realtors or financial advisors working for franchise organizations

How does someone become a member of the KBLN program at my church?

Each candidate goes through an initial application process provided by KBLN to confirm their eligibility for the program at your church.

Can people who do not go to my church apply to be a member of Kingdom Business Leaders at my church?

We leave this up to the discretion of the individual church.

Groups

Does KBLN use a curriculum for groups?

KBLNuses a proprietary biblically-based curriculum for the groups. Some of the topics include: Faith at Work, The Ultimate Customer Experience, The Theology of Work, Key Performance Indicators, Branding, Marketing, Hiring and Firing, and many others. The groups curriculum is available for five years of group meetings.

How often do business groups meet?

A typical KBLN business group meets twice a month, taking breaks over the summer and for the holidays.

If someone is not a business owner, does KBLN have corporate groups?

We do not currently have corporate groups, but our corporate leader members are welcome to attend our events and access our resources. We also offer a self-study program on implementing Biblical principles in your organization.

Do you provide training for group facilitators?

Yes. We will have an online training guide and video for group facilitators and group members.

Financial

Is there a cost to the members of my church to be in the KBLN program?

There is not a charge for a church member to become a KBLN member.

There is a charge to be a member of a group. There is a charge to be in a group for several reasons:

·       As every business owner knows, they apply more focus and energy wherever they have "skin in the game."

·       We have seen group attendance improve when we started charging business owners to be in a group.

·       Matthew 6:21 states: "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." We want the business owner's heart to be in a place where he or she is committed to learning and applying biblical principles in his or her business, as well as building relationships with like-minded peers.

We allow churches to give scholarship assistance but do not allow full scholarships for the above reasons.

Group facilitators are typically not charged group tuition.

What is the cost to a church for the KBLN program?

There is a setup fee and a monthly cost. There may be additional costs for KBLN staff speaking, training, or support, depending on the church's needs.

Who is the group tuition paid to?

The group tuition goes directly to the Partner Church that is overseeing the groups, not to Kingdom Business Leaders Network.
